Reinterpreting the classic fairy tale within a modern abandoned factory, this film explores the grim realities of class reproduction and human trafficking under capitalism. We use the "matchstick" as a central motif to symbolize the false hope dangled before the lower class—a lure that ultimately leads them into an endless cycle of systemic exploitation. Choosing stop-motion animation allows us to leverage the fragmented texture of handmade objects, serving as a metaphor for the helplessness of victims who are objectified and dominated by a massive industrial apparatus. The title Match No.∞ signifies that this tragedy is not an isolated case, but a perpetual, vicious cycle. Through a horrific atmosphere, we invite the audience to confront the nameless lives behind our prosperous society—those who are burned to ashes and instantly replaced.
